This was never an integral part of the farmhouse, being originally the bakery, before serving as a farm office and, in part, garage. We have taken advantage of these changes to create an open-plan downstairs. Upstairs the rooms are small and cosy: downstairs is spacious. The bread oven survives and the fine tuffeau fireplace has been restored.
Easy access downstairs makes this gite suitable for those of limited mobility, though it is not fully equipped for disabled - please contact us for details

We want an efficient energy policy which keeps our usage and of course our, and therefore your costs as low as possible. Gite Allonnes is carefully insulated and is fully air-conditioned, and Solar energy provides most of the hot water. There is no lack of sun!
Gite Allonnes has access from the main farmyard in the front and to its own private garden area to the rear - from which the full size of the bread oven can be appreciated.
The front porch is well sheltered in both summer and winter. |

This gite is named after the small town of Allonnes, through which most of our guests drive on their way to us. It gives us, though we are deep in the countryside, a good supermarket, garage and shops only about two miles away. |
